Coming back from Singapore, reflecting on this extraordinary journey, we are filled with pride for all that we have accomplished together.

Starting with a handful of people in a small midtown office, thousands and thousands of New Yorkers, from every sector, came together to create a shared vision for our city's future. And the amazing thing is so much of it will still get done.

This is obviously a bittersweet moment. But as the sadness slowly fades, we are excited that many long-held dreams for New York are now being achieved. We were awed by the chance to tell New York's story to the world, an experience that has re-inspired so many of us with the magic of our city.

All of this was made possible by the energy, enthusiasm, encouragement, and support that you have given us over the years. We hope you share our pride in this journey and we look forward to continuing the spirit of the bid – working together to make our beloved city even greater in the years to come.
